In “The Life cycle of a Pizza,” School-age summer program, students learn about local dairies, grind wheat, make their own tomato sauce using heirloom tomatoes, and grow vegetable toppings in their own garden.
Many children today do not exhibit healthy eating habits and don’t know where their food comes from, Traveling through a pizzas lifecycle, will assist students in making healthier lifestyle and dietary choices as well as teach them and their families about gardening in their own backyards!

Students learn focus and patience, cooperation, teamwork and social skills in outdoor learning gardens.They gain self-confidence and a sense of "capableness" along with new skills and knowledge in food growing — soon-to-be-vital for the 21st century
